Your role

Are you an experienced leader in hardware engineering who's passionate about innovation, teamwork, and making a real impact? Join us in shaping the future of aviation by leading the development of advanced, safety-critical avionics hardware for both military and civil platforms.

In this key role, you'll lead a group of dedicated managers that are responsible for hardware engineers specializing in electronics and mechanics. You'll set the strategic direction for the department, support your team's growth, and ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Inspire and lead a team of managers within hardware engineering, fostering collaboration, learning, and technical excellence
• Define and implement hardware development processes, methodologies, and tools, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards, including DO-254 for electronics
• Oversee the full development cycle-from idea to production
• Manage the department's budget and resources effectively.
• Collaborate across departments to drive successful project outcomes

The Hardware Development department consist of three sections with approximately 45 people, making this a pivotal leadership role within the Engineering organization. You'll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking engineering organization where your voice matters. Your profile

We're looking for an inspiring and collaborative leader with strong communication and people skills. You're someone who sets clear goals, has the ability to develop strategic plans, and leads with both confidence and care. You enjoy making decisions that move things forward and are energized by creating positive impact. We value individuals who question the status quo, explore new opportunities, and bring fresh, diverse perspectives to the table.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in hardware engineering leadership roles, ideally within the aerospace or safety-critical systems industry.
• Strong understanding of hardware development methodologies, safety-critical hardware development standards (e.g., DO-254), and relevant design tools.
• Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken form.
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Electronics design
• FPGA/PLD development
• Mechanical design
• Power supply design

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
