Role Description

We are looking for a proactive and business-driven Category Leader to take full responsibility for developing and optimizing purchasing within the wood category. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will drive sourcing activities, strengthen supplier relationships and ensure delivery performance, quality and cost efficiency.

In this role, you plan, execute and follow up on the category’s sourcing plan, while continuously identifying improvements and supporting product development. You negotiate terms, develop supplier contracts and identify new sourcing opportunities, ensuring that all activities align with established processes and the ROL Management System. You also hold the authority to act on delayed deliveries according to the organization’s escalation routines, and you support forecasting and complaint handling.

Your key internal and external stakeholders include R&D, Sales/Marketing, Planning, Quality, internal companies and suppliers.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of solid experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work both strategically and hands-on. You are confident in managing supplier relationships, navigating international purchasing environments and contributing to continuous improvements within the sourcing function.

We believe you have the following:

· Good level of English (spoken and written), and Swedish is considered a merit

· Strong computer skills, especially within the Office suite

· Higher education (university degree) or equivalent experience

· At least 5 years of experience in purchasing and negotiations, preferable international

· Good knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems

With your professional approach, analytical skills and drive, you contribute to building strong partnerships and ensuring that sourcing activities are carried out efficiently, structured and in line with the organization’s goals.
